Have you ever wondered what your neighborhood
looks like from the sky?
If you are between 8 and 17 years old, we want
to introduce you to the magic of flight. Volunteer pilots of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)
will be
offering FREE Young Eagles flights at the Willamette Valley Chapter
292 of EAA at the airport during the
Independence Hop and Heritage Festival from 9:00 A.M. to noon on
Saturday, September 23, 2006.
What is
the Experimental Aircraft Association Young Eagles Program? |
| |
The EAA Young Eagles
program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people ages 8
- 17 an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane.
These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible
through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
Since 1992, more than 1.3 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight
through the program. Young Eagles have been registered in more than
90 different countries and have been flown by nearly 41,000
volunteer pilots.
Participation is easy.
